Blending jazz improvisation with influences from hip-hop, neo-soul, funk and pop, Joabe's critically acclaimed 2020 debut album featured a stellar cast including Toninho Horta, Nelson Ayres and Lincoln Center Orchestra trombonist Elliot Mason, immediately marking him out as an artist to watch.
His latest work, 028, sees Reis collaborating with leading figures such as Bob Mintzer and Gabriel Grossi, while recent single Drive Slow features Theo Croker and Zudzilla, further expanding on his modern, groove-driven sound. Reis has performed on major international stages including The Town Festival alongside Jacob Collier, Snarky Puppy and Kamasi Washington, appeared as a special guest with Shawn Mendes at Lollapalooza Brazil, and was invited by Macy Gray to join her Brazilian tour.
